I hope S-E takes everyone's advice and cancels the game. When you have fans of your company telling you they don't want the game anymore, it's time to move on. They may end up releasing it anyway to recoup some of their losses with the help of clueless parents at Wal-Mart.
Lol, couldn't have said it better myself. I was of course being very conservative with the 100,000 number.
Exactly. I don't care how the system performed at GDC. Show me some real world performance with 100,000+ people spread around the globe playing Crysis on max settings at 720p. It's simply not going to happen without lag over our existing networks. Not to mention that ISPs are starting to shape their traffic.
The real-time day/night cycle in Gold and Silver was the most amazing thing ever to me for some reason. Still amuses me in Platinum...
You can download directly to the PS3 hard drive. I've only tried it with movie links though.
That's very unfortunate. Something really needs to be done to correct the copyright/licensing issues between the US and Canada.
As the article mentions, the rental and purchase prices for the content are ridiculous and once you purchase something, you can't move it off the PS3 hard drive. Not being able to move purchased video files as I please, sends me in the direction of a torrent site, Amazon, or Best Buy rather than the PSN.
Lol, thanks. I'm also what the French call "Les Incompetents".
The only thing I want is PS2 emulation for the models without BC and true HD upscaling of PS2 games instead of just stretching them out. The PS2 PC emulator does an excellent job with this and it should be an easy task to pull off on PS3, even if compatibility isn't 100%.
Wrong section as well lol.
Exactly. Those are the only two assumed PS3 titles that fit the description he gave. But then again, this FF7 speculation has happened every year for nearly 4 years now and we always end up disappointed.
While I know it's highly unlikely that the FF7 remake will be announced anytime soon, if at all this generation, I can't think of many other games that fit his description. "We know it's a true-blue system seller. We know people have been waiting for the announcement...we know it exists...we know the confirmation is coming..." Many have been awaiting the announcement of FF7 for years, since everyone knows it's a matter of when it'll be released and what system it'll be on, not if. K...
Atlus' fanbase is very dedicated. This game will be bought by the fans, even if they usually pirate their other games. I think it will sell as expected. Not over a million, but decently.
I hate the isometric view, but it looks like I'll eventually have to try this game out.
Assassin's Creed.
Makes sense. There are tons of Katakana, Hiragana, and Kanji DS games that teachers could implement into their curriculum, along with other educational games.
Same here. I wonder how in-depth it will be.
Yep, Golden Sun is a masterpiece and I can't believe Nintendo/Camelot just act like the series never existed.
Oops, meant to reply to #6.
Why have two consoles connected to the TV though when I can just use one to do it all? There are quite a few PS1 and PS2 games that I never got around to purchasing or never completed, so I use the BC feature all the time. I know I wouldn't have dropped "599 US dollars" on the system back in 2007 if it didn't include BC.
I wish I had 2 more hands so I could give this trailer and Geoff Keighley 4 thumbs down.
